CBC Toronto – Editorial Assistant (June – July 2024)

  • I wrote daily stories and copy, consistently meeting tight deadlines while maintaining quality. In addition to this, I successfully pitched and developed story ideas, showcasing creativity and initiative in reporting.

CBC Investigative Unit – Editorial Assistant (May – June 2024)

  • I pursued long-form stories, gaining valuable experience in data analysis. I also found contacts for sensitive, complex interviews and arranged them. Another part of this role included thorough fact-checking to ensure accuracy and reliability.

IndigiNews – Storyteller intern (February 2024)

  • I wrote articles and conducted interviews to cover significant local Indigenous stories. I also captured compelling photographs to complement written pieces.

CBC Vancouver – Newsroom intern (September 2023)

  • I conducted interviews and chased stories, while also finding original angles to dig deeper on current news topics. Alongside research, I wrote content for web and radio.

Link Magazine Writer (March 2023 – February 2024)

  • As a contributor, I worked on feature stories and collaborated with an editor to produce quality work for a vast demographic.

107.5 2DayFM – Radio reporter (June – August 2023)

  • During the summer position here I gained on-air experience, such as co hosting morning news and doing updates from location. I strengthened relationships within the community and interviewed local residents on their unique experiences in the Kootenays.
